At PayEchallan, we process traffic challan payments through official government channels. Due to the nature of government payment systems, there is a mandatory waiting period of 1 to 7 business days before a challan status is reflected as "Paid" on the official RTO/traffic portal. Please read this policy carefully before raising a refund request.
Important — Please Read Before Requesting a Refund
After a successful payment, your challan may still show as "Unpaid" or "Pending" on the government portal for up to 7 business days. This is completely normal and does not mean your payment failed. Please do not raise a refund request during this waiting period.
Your payment is submitted and forwarded to the official traffic/RTO authority for processing.
The challan amount is being processed by the government payment system. No action needed from your side.
The transaction is under verification by the RTO/traffic authority. Status may show 'Pending' during this period — this is normal.
Payment confirmation is received from the official system. Your challan status will update to 'Paid' on the government portal.
If your challan status has NOT been updated to 'Paid' within 7 days from payment, you are eligible to raise a refund request.
Wait 7 Business Days
Ensure at least 7 business days have passed since your payment date before raising a refund request.
Check Official Portal
Verify your challan status on the official government portal (echallan.parivahan.gov.in) to confirm it is still unpaid.
Email Our Support
Send an email to support@payechallan.com with your registered email, vehicle number, payment reference ID, and payment screenshot.
Review Period
Our team will review your request within 3–5 business days and verify the payment status with the concerned authority.
Refund Processing
Approved refunds will be credited back to your original payment method within 5–10 business days after approval.
